Terms & Conditions

Our hire period for the use of the crockery is 1-3 days.  If you need items for longer, we are happy to discuss this.

  • ​​The prices listed cover 3 days; the day prior, the day of your event, the day after your event.

  • All items remain the property of Ruby Loves Vintage China at all times.

  • A deposit of 40% is required when placing an order. This will secure the booking. Please note that until the booking deposit is paid, we will not hold your date.

  • You can cancel your order anytime, but your deposit is non-refundable if you cancel less than 14 days prior to your event. Cancellation must be made by email. 

  • If for any reason you do wish to cancel, the following charges will apply -       

        Less than 14 days = 40% of the total order 

        Less than 10 days = 60% of the total order   

        Less than 5 days = 80% of the total order

  • We will contact you prior to the date of delivery just to re-confirm and finalise arrangements. 

  • The remaining balance is to be paid 7 days prior to delivery. We accept payment through bank transfer only. 

  • A damage deposit is required prior to delivery of the items and will be refunded when all items have been returned and checked.

  • The damage deposit is 50% of all orders with a minimum of £30. The damage deposit must be in the form of bank transfer along with your final hire payment and will be refunded by bank transfer, usually within 2 working days of return.

  • You are liable for any loss, breakages, cracks or chips of any crockery or goods. (see below for breakage / loss costs)

  • Our minimum order is £24 and we can cater for up to 80 guests.

  • The latest date to reduce your order is 7 days prior to your event.  If any changes are made after this time, charges may apply.

  • If you decide you would like additional items after booking, please let us know and we will always try to accommodate.

  • Due to the nature of vintage items, there may be signs of wear, such as to gilt, but there will be no chips or cracks to the china.

  • We will normally be able to offer matching trios, but due to the vintage nature of the china, we cannot guarantee large quantities of one style or one particular colour.

  • All items hired from Ruby Loves Vintage China remain the responsibility of the hirer, including if left at other premises, until return or collection. This includes loss or breakages.

  • An inventory of hired items must be signed by the hirer and a Ruby Loves Vintage China representative at the point of delivery and collection.

  • Ruby Loves Vintage China Hire will accept no responsibility in the event of any injury or damages caused by the hire equipment.

  • If something is missing, damaged or broken the following charges will apply

·         Side Plate £4

·         Cake Plates, Buffet Plates £10

·         Sugar Bowls £5

          Milk Jugs £5

·         Glass Bowls £3

·         Large Sandwich Platters £15

·         Tiered Cake Stands/Pedestal Cake Stands £25

·         Teapots and/or Lids £25-£50

·         Missing cutlery : £6

·         Tablecloths £10

·         Napkins/Bunting £5

·         Small Vases £3

Note: Please do not place any items in a dishwasher or microwave*
