My name is Rita and I'm the founder of Ruby Loves Vintage China.

Having spent my career in the financial sector,  specialising in pensions and governance, I decided to make a big change in my retirement and work with something fun and beautiful.  I think sustainability in business is fundamental, so, instead of buying new things, I decided to focus on my passion - Vintage China.

A lovely old lady called Ruby Lovell introduced me to Vintage China about 35 years ago.

Ruby showed me how a simple cup of tea could look and taste so much better if it was made in a nice teapot and served in a bone china cup and saucer. What a revelation that was for me!  I so enjoyed a cup of tea and alot of laughs  when we visited her in East Sussex. Hence the name of our business 'Ruby Loves Vintage China, ' which I know she would love.

I met Hazel 7 years ago when I first went to Yoxford.  Hazel has worked in catering most of her life, but she's a keen gardener too.

Hazel's homemade sausage rolls are legendary and when I first met her, she sold them at the monthly farmers market in the Village Hall, along with other tasty home-baked items.

For 2 small boys in our family, a trip to Suffolk has to include Hazel's sausage rolls, which they devour on the beach as soon as they can get their hands on them!

Donna manages our Herfordshire branch. She and I have been friends for over 10 years now.  She is a swimming teacher and a home help and of course a lover of all things vintage!
